This is an introduction into the uses of GPS, GIS and variable rate technology in agriculture. This class includes variable rate seeding, fertilizing, controllers for planting, spraying, yield monitoring, and how they affect production.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Research, identify, and evaluate new technology associated with the agricultural industry.
- Decide which technologies are viable, cost-effective, that have the potential for both yield and profit increase.
- Demonstrate the use, and maintenance, of a variety of ag-based technology to make business and land management decisions.
- Instruct groups on the basic concepts of digital farming and its direct application.
