Step-by-step procedure will demonstrated by students. Students will be assigned projects by the instructor for individual work and group work. III. Catalog Course Description
Students will be taught proper procedures for layout of projects. Students will be able to make drawings, produce cutting and materials lists, approximate labor time and cost, and make cost sheets. Step-by-step procedure will demonstrated by students. Students will be assigned projects by the instructor for individual work and group work. IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- The Course objective is to have all students pass the written and performance tests. This will be assessed through tests whether passed or not.
- How their Performance on machinery in their production of their individual projects and group projects alike turned out.
- Each student will demonstrate their design difference from other styles of like project in oral reports to class, to be assessed.
- Teamwork will be assessed not only how good team project turned out but how they all worked together as a team to complete task.
- Skill of advancement will be assessed by completed projects difficulty and quality, correctness to plan etc.
- Evaluation sheets filled out by each student on Instructor, class and themselves will help to see how we all did and how we can improve.
V. Topical Outline (Course Content)
Students will be assigned projects in Design, assembly of, joinery techniques and finishing for individual and group work. They will be demonstrated to in design, joinery techniques, and building methods and practice these on given projects, both large and small. Students will demonstrate adequate competencies at this time in all areas – from machining to finish – sanding as well as assembly methods of given projects. They will make a material, and cut lists of projects. Students will demonstrate their knowledge and skill in producing each project.
