POE-236 African Diaspora in the Americas

This class examines the political economy of race in the Americas. It focuses on economic, cultural and social ramifications of the African diaspora on a global level. The class will also analyze the significance of Black bodies in the formation of what constitutes “modernity” as we know it today.
