SOC-215 Introduction to Criminal Justice

This introductory course will highlight the fundamental components of and careers within the U.S. criminal justice system, to include criminal law, policing, courts, detention, and corrections. The course will also briefly examine criminology, criminological research, and some special topics, such as juvenile justice. Course topics will frequently be discussed in the context of current events and criminal justice reforms to help the material "come alive" for you.
