The Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding is designed to prepare you for an entry-level position as a Medical Biller and/or Medical Coder in physician offices, hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities. You will learn the terminology, human biology, reimbursement methodology, and correct assignment and sequencing of current ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Students who attend the Medical Billing and Coding program will complete their course work online. Students must earn a grade of 'C' or better in all required courses in order to graduate.
A minimum of 22 credits is required for graduation.
