The Certificate in Medical Billing will prepare you for an entry-level position as a medical biller. You will learn the terminology, record and forms management, medical insurance requirements, and billing procedures needed to effectively manage patient accounts.
Students who attend the Medical Billing program will complete most of their course work online. Students should be aware that the Medical Billing internship will require additional time commitment in a health care facility.
Program science courses must be completed within (5) years prior to the anticipated start date of the program to count towards completing the certificate.
Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in all required in order to graduate.
A minimum of 23 credits is required for graduation.
Drug screening
Students enrolled in their academic program may be required to pass a drug screening analysis.
