Kean University Foundation
The Kean University Foundation was established in 1984 to encourage private gifts in support of the university. As a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)3 corporation, the foundation is empowered to solicit, receive, and administer gifts, grants, bequests, and trusts for the benefit of the university, its students, faculty, schools, departments, and programs. All private gifts from alumni, friends, private foundations, corporations, and other entities, for the benefit of Kean University, are received through the Kean University Foundation.
By providing the bridge between donors and the schools and programs, faculty, and students that make up the university, the Kean University Foundation helps match caring people with satisfying and meaningful opportunities to make gifts that have an impact on Kean University and beyond.
One of the most prominent goals of the Kean University Foundation is to act as a good faith steward of our community’s generous philanthropic support. In this way, we are a partner in helping the university achieve its various goals. The foundation thoughtfully invests and preserves the university’s endowment and makes sure the contributions from our donors are used according to their wishes.
