PAS 6310 SUPERVISED CLINICAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE: FAMILY MEDICINE
This 4-week supervised clinical practice experience provides the student with practical experience in the medical care of patients across the lifespan in the family practice setting. Under the supervision of a clinical preceptor, the student will apply knowledge gained in the didactic phase to actual care of patients as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team. The emphasis of this experience will be on the coordination and collaboration of medical care and students will become familiar with the diagnosis, treatment and management of the patients in family medicine. Students will participate in the medical care of the patients and will be evaluated on the knowledge, skills and behaviors expected of a PA student member of the healthcare team in family medicine.

Successful completion of the first year of the Physician Assistant Program
