STME 5940 CANCER GENETICS AND GENETIC COUNSELING

The course starts with an examination of the molecular mechanisms by which cancer cells arise, develop into tumors, and metastasize. This knowledge will then be applied to clinical care as cancer genes; cancer genetic disorders/syndromes; single gene and panel testing; and genetic counseling for cancer will be discussed.
