MUS 3173 INTERN EXPERIENCES IN MUSIC
Students will gain work experience and training outside of the classroom setting in music, under the dual supervision of an instructor, and appropriate personnel at an internship site, allowing students to integrate classroom learning with work-related experiences to help prepare them for a music career. Through the academic program, students will identify possible internship opportunities, obtain approval for course registration, and with the course instructor, obtain internship sponsor commitment. Internships are negotiated between the academic program and the supervisor within the host organization; internships may include observations, meetings, administration, research, strategic planning, product development, data analysis, report writing, etc. A record of the internship will be entered into College Central. May be repeated for credit, up to a total of six credits if eligible and internship is available.
