MUS 3131 ORCHESTRATION
Details about the instruments of the orchestra that allow us to write for them intelligently: how to read and understand the orchestral score; transpositions and foreign vocabulary used; standard practices of music notation, clef reading, the overtone series, appropriate orchestral repertoire, and techniques or arranging. Requirement for music education and bachelor of music majors and can be taken as an elective by others who have the music theory background. Formerly: Orchestration I.
