PSYD 7120 PROFESSIONAL SEMINAR IVB: TECHNOLOGY AND EMERGING ISSUES IN THE PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE OF SCHOOL AND CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
This second course of a two-semester sequence focuses on issues important to professionals about to enter the field including an orientation to issues in day-to-day practice and professional development in modern school and clinical psychology with a special emphasis on new technologies available for assessment, treatment and practice management, as well as consideration of emerging issues in the field such as health care financing, professional accountability, psychology as a primary care profession, professional activism. Special emphasis will be made to integrate these issues into a thorough discussion and monitoring of students' current externship experiences.
