PSYD 7115 PROFESSIONAL SEMINAR IIC: ETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE IN SCHOOL AND CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
This third part of a three-part, yearlong, professional seminar designed to support the completion of the school externship/beginning of the clinical externship (as applicable), as well as to study the various ethical codes, specialty guidelines and recommendations that apply to the practice of school psychology, clinical psychology, and the intersection between the two. Risk management will also be discussed. The literature on ethics is critically examined and readings include a variety of original sources. Students will examine case material that features ethical conflicts and controversies, and students practice processes to resolve ethical dilemmas.
