MGS 3013 ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The purpose of this course is to empower students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and resources to be an entrepreneur during their careers in a challenging economic environment. This course will review topics including advantages and disadvantages of entrepreneurship, identification of ideas for new start-up opportunities, forms of business ownership and franchising, strategic management of financial and human resources, marketing and production plans, and other topics. Students will develop new business plans as a basis for launching new ventures. Required course for Management of Organizations Option; Elective for other Management options, Free Elective for other majors. Prerequisite(s): MGS 2030 Principles of Management and MKT 2500 Principles of Marketing.
