GD 3321 MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGN I

Studio course that provides a foundation study of Motion Graphics. Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects will be used as a doorway to enter the world of animation and motion design. Students will be exposed to the tools, theories, aesthetes and techniques used in time based message building. Students will build precision, control and fluency of expression within time based digital environments. In creating three short animated pieces students will practice essential pre-production skills including storyboarding, creating concept art and pitching. Students will learn to present their ideas visually before animating and will be taught the principles of sound design, storytelling and animation. Prerequisite: GD 3020, GD 3021.
