The rights of suspects and defendants of crimes, and the limits of police power. Emphasis on conduct of search and seizure, confessions, eye- witness identification, right to counsel, prosecu- torial misconduct, suppression of evidence, fair trial, and the role of the defense counsel. Pro- portionate sentencing and substantive due process, including the death penalty. Prerequisites:Nine(9) credits of Criminal Justice courses
