The following program meets State standards for teacher certification in English P-12. Students choosing this option must apply to both the English Department and the Department of Middle and Secondary Education. For all transfers and new admissions to the University starting September 1, 2012, a G.P.A. of 3.00 is required for admission to the Program.

GE 1000, GE 3000: University Requirement for Graduation for all undergraduate students that must be satisfied in one of two ways: Complete GE 1000 (all freshmen and transfers entering with 0-29 credits) OR GE 3000 (transfers entering with 30 credits or more).
ENG 1030, MATH 1000, COMM 1402: A grade of B- is required in ENG 1030 (or its equivalent) and COMM 1402. A grade of C or better is required in Math 1000.
