This course is designed to follow the criteria set forth by the Idaho State Board of Dentistry in completing the Dental Assisting Expanded Functions requirements for the state of Idaho.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Discuss the methods/steps used in fabricating provisional crowns
- Describe the types of materials used in the fabrication and placement of both intra and extra oral provisional restorations
- List the types of intra and extra oral restorations
- Discuss why provisional restorations are placed
- List the advantages and disadvantages of each type of provisional crowns
