III. Catalog Course Description
This course is a continuation of MUSI 112. It will continue the development of both solfege ability and aural perception of intervals, rhythms, chords, and chord progressions. Prerequisite: C or better in MUSI 112.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- The ability to sing all three forms of the minor scale and selected scale and arpeggio exercises using solfege syllables.
- Increased proficiency in melodic dictation.
- Increased proficiency in harmonic dictation.
- Increased proficiency in rhythmic dictation.
- Increased proficiency in the ability to accurately sing melodies and tap or speak rhythms at sight.
