HLTH 153 Wellness Through Stress Management

This course introduces students to all seven dimensions of wellness (physical, intellectural, emotional, spiritual, social, environmental, financial) and allows students to practice making changes in at least three dimensions by establishing, practicing, and reflecting on individualized SMART goals related to holistic stress management. This wellness course is a holistic approach to stress management, with regards to both cognitive (coping) skills and a host of techniques with the intention to prevent and/or alleviate the physical symptoms of stress. The course affects both theoretical and experiential learning through a series of class exercises and techniques. This course meets the general education requirement for wellness.
