HLTH 154 Wellness Through Weight Management

This wellness course introduces students to all seven dimensions of wellness (physical, intellectural, emotional, spiritual, social, environmental, financial) and allows students to practice making changes in at least three dimensions by establishing, practicing, and reflecting on individualized SMART goals related to weight management. This is taught through the lens of wellness and covers the nutritional, physical, and emotional aspects of healthy weight management. Particpants complete a self-directed fitness program and set nutritional goals. Participants record their progress in a daily journal and submit weekly nutritional and exercise log sheets. This course meets the general education requirement for wellness.
