SPAN-2501 Creative Writing and Translation
(CREATIVE EXPRESSION, ENGAGING DIFFERENCE) This course introduces students to creative expression in Spanish. Primary focus of the course varies by the instructor. Students explore the theory and history of creative writing and/or the translation of creative works, with a focus on original works in Spanish. Students build skills in creative writing and/or translation. Genre emphasis may vary. Course is taught in English with significant use of Spanish-language course materials. Intermediate reading and writing proficiency in Spanish is expected. This course is designed for intermediate students of Spanish and heritage and native speakers.
