PPOL-6250 State & Local Policy: Finance

This course considers the sources of financing for local and regional government; the relationship between these bodies on the one hand and the state and federal government on the other; service provision policies (e.g. education, transportation, infrastructure, public safety, health, and social support); privatization of public services; and issues related to taxation, budgets, and investments.
