Apply for Graduation

An application for graduation must be filed with the Office of Student Records during the term prior to completing graduation requirements. Graduation application deadlines are:

  • November 1 for spring and summer conferral. 
  • April 1 for fall conferral. 
  • Online MBA students must apply at least 2 sessions ahead of when they plan to graduate.

If the application deadline falls on a non-business day, applications will be due the next University business day. No application will be accepted within three weeks of a graduation date without the review and approval of the Office of the Provost. After the graduation application is completed, students are charged a graduation fee, which will be applied to their student account during their graduating semester. The graduation fee must be paid even if the graduate does not participate in the commencement ceremony. The fee covers the cost of the printed diploma and the academic regalia. Late applications are subject to an additional fee depending on the severity of the missed deadline. If a student does not complete requirements for graduation in the term they applied for, they must reapply for a future term.
