Bioengineering B.S. (Discontinued)

As of the 2019-2020 academic year, the Bioengineering bachelor of science (B.S.) program has been discontinued. For continuing students who proposed or declared bioengineering prior to 2019-20, please refer to the degree requirements published at the time of entering UCSC or subsequent catalog(s).

The bioengineering B.S. program while discontinued has some concentrations moved to other programs. New students interested in the bioengineering B.S. biomolecular engineering concentration can pursue the biomolecular engineering concentration of the Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics B.S. program. Students interested in Assistive Technology or Bioelectronics and Biophotonics may be interested in minors in these areas offered by the Electrical and Computer Engineering: Assistive Technology minor and the Bioelectronics and Biophotonics minor.

Students are encouraged to contact the Baskin School of Engineering Undergraduate Advising Office at advising@soe.ucsc.edu for assistance.*
