The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is one of the nation's largest leadership honor societies where students are selected for membership based on academic standing and leadership potential. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction and invitations are sent to new and qualified students twice per year.  Requirements for invitation include a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and leadership potential. Students must be enrolled at Taft College and have completed a minimum of 12 units of coursework leading to an associates’ degree to receive an invitation for NSLS membership. The NSLS requires a minimal fee to join the organization and membership is continuous once a student completes the NSLS Induction.

The NSLS mission for the Taft College chapter is to create a support system within the college where students help each other to move forward in their education and life.  Members will work alongside their peers to help guide each other toward reaching short term goals.  Each student who participates in the NSLS will create a strong network within the society that can be carried on at a university.
