MGMT 402B Negotiating Your Own Success

In order to successfully negotiate, you need to determine what you want, why you want it, and how to get it. Getting what you want is best done in a way that leaves everyone satisfied, and maybe even happier than when they started. That is a 'mutual-gains' solution. This course will explore how to negotiate such solutions in diverse situations, including simple disputes and complex, difficult conversations that we might tend to avoid. Students will engage in a range of activities, including role-playing negotiation situations in both face-to-face and online contexts, culminating in practising key steps to negotiate your own career success.
