LIT251 Mythology and Literature

This course introduces mythological stories from creation to apocalypse and examines what they reveal about humankind's relationship with their gods, nature, self, family and community. It explores the influence of myths on contemporary literature, art, and film and how various cultures define heroism, concepts of good and evil, codes of justice and gender roles.
