HIS111 World Civilizations I

This course introduces world history from the dawnof civilization to the early modern era. Topics include Eurasian, African, American, andGreco-Roman civilizations and Christian, Islamic and Byzantine cultures. Upon completion, studentsshould be able to analyze significant political, socioeconomic, and cultural developments in pre-modern world civilizations. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA/ICAA as a general education course in Social/Behavioral Sciences. This is a Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) course.
