DRE096 Integrated Reading and Writing I

This course is designed to develop proficiency in specific integrated and contextualized reading andwriting skills and strategies. Topics includereading and writing processes, critical thinking strategies, and recognition and composition of well-developed, coherent, and unified texts; thesetopics are primarily taught at the introductory level using texts primarily in a Lexile (TM) rangeof 960 to 1115. Upon completion, students should be able to apply those skills toward understandinga variety of academic and career-related texts andcomposing effective paragraphs.
