MCC Student Government Association (MCCSGA)

MCCSGA is the official voice of the student body. As such, it not only represents the students but also works with MCCSGA advisors to provide social, educational, cultural, recreational, and service activities for the school and the community. The MCCSGA President is also an ex-officio member of the college’s Board of Trustees. Any interested student or staff member is invited to attend meetings and to participate in the planning of activities. Voting privileges are reserved for officers and senators.

MCCSGA officers are elected from the student body, while senators are recruited from the student body and required from each student organization. Responsibilities and powers of the MCCSGA are those specified in its constitution and approved by the College’s Board of Trustees. Copies of the MCCSGA Constitution can be obtained from the Dean of Students or the College’s website at www.mayland.edu/student-life/sgastudent-organizations/sga-constitution.
