SOC 361 Through the Sociological Lens
Do you see what I see? When is seeing believing? Students apply visual research methods to explore community life. The purpose of this course is to broaden social insights, foster critical thinking, and train students in methods of gathering and analyzing data using photography to document observations. Students create a visual narrative using their own research topic. Prerequisites: One of the following: SOC 121, SOC 131, SOC 141, SOC 151, or permission of the instructor. Liberal Arts Core Designation: Social Science (SS), Depth in Sciences (DSCI). (3)
