PT 702 Health Care Delivery and Contemporary Society
Provides an overview of the demographic, social, economic, historical, and legislative forces affecting the profession of physical therapy and the delivery of health care in the United States. Cultural, sociological, educational, and ethical issues that influence roles and responsibilities of consumers and health professionals are emphasized. The process of enablement/disablement frameworks for clinical decision making, professionalism, basic teaching and learning concepts, and ethical practice are analyzed. Offered fall semester only. A minimum grade of B- or better is required. (3)
