PT 700 Clinical Neuroscience
Provides an in-depth study of nervous system neurobiology and neuroplasty. Content emphasizes nervous system circuitry from development through aging and the major central and peripheral nervous system components of sensation, postural and motor control, learning, memory, and emotion. Problem-based, patient-centered cases and interactive in-class activities provide early linkages of content with and across courses. Study of brain, brain stem, and spinal cord models; vertebrae; skulls; and, when possible, wet brains is incorporated to enhance understanding of course concepts. Offered fall semester only. A minimum grade of B- or better is required. (5)
