IS 233 Introduction to Quantitative Science

This synthesis course introduces students to the importance of interdisciplinary work in mathematics and the sciences. Modules are used to demonstrate connections between scientific phenomena and techniques in mathematics and computations. Students will develop a broad understanding of how mathematics and computer simulation can be used to understand phenomena in the natural sciences. Prerequisites: a minimum grade of C in MA 181 or MA 172, MA 218, and BIO 151. (3)
