PAS 6120 CLINICAL SEMINAR TWO

During this second clinical seminar course, students explore the concepts of patient safety and medical errors. Using a 'journal club' approach, students identify, review and discuss current topics and events related to healthcare and physician assistant (PA) practice. The PA professional practice unit focuses on the preparation of a resume and cover letter for a graduate PA seeking a first clinical position. Practicality of the job search will be explored along with state licensing and National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification requirements. Working with a faculty advisor, students continue the process of preparing a professional portfolio. Students will continue to work on their personal performance improvement plan as developed in PAS 6110 with individual and group assignments and discussions
