PSY 5010 CROSS-CULTURAL PSYCHOLOGY

Advanced study of the ways cultural factors shape and affect human behavior. Factors include behaviors, ideas, values, institutions, and the study on analytic levels of individual behaviors, universal behaviors, and culture-specific behaviors. Personality and the definitions of social and abnormal behavior in culture-specific contexts are explored, with clinical emphasis given to integrate the complex components of cultural psychology. Not open to students who have completed the undergraduate cross-cultural psychology course.
