MATH 3710 FOUNDATIONS OF DATA ANALYSIS

Fundamentals of data analysis and classifications of data types and formats. Hypothesis testing and inferential analysis for numerical and categorical data. Programming and visualization techniques applied to big data. Practice examples with large data sets are provided from educational, social, scientific and economic fields to formulate, analyze, interpret and write data analysis reports. Prerequisites: CPS 2231 or MATH 2415 or Math 2400 Type of course: Major Elective
