MATH 1054 PRE-CALCULUS

Exponential and logarithmic functions. Trigonometric functions with emphasis on trigonometric identities and trigonometric analysis. Complex numbers, polor coordinates, place vectors and trigonometric forms of complex numbers. Arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. Problem solving methods. Students will be required to acquire a specific graphing calculator. Prerequisite(s): Three years of secondary school mathematics including two years of algebra and one year of geometry, or the equivalent, and a qualifying score on the placement examination or the equivalent
