PA 5988 ANALYTICAL METHODS IN PUBLIC MANAGEMENT

This course is the introduction to statistical methods and data analysis for decision making in the public sector. It is the first part of a three-course sequence (PA*5988, PA*5989, and PA*5990) on research methods and analysis in public policy and management. This course will provide a basic understanding of analytical methods for public management. This course will allow students to summarize large quantities of data in a concise way that helps students focus on what is important for the decisions made in public policy and government management. This course serves as a prerequisite course for PA*5989 and PA*5990.
