A study of the impact of Islam in Spain, its peculiar development in the peninsula from 711 A.D. to 1492, and its impportance in the formation of the Spanish character and culture. The overall importance of Islamic Spain with respect to European Medieval culture. Prerequisite: SPAN 3210 or permission of instructor.
