PSY 3350 EVOLUTIONARY PSYCHOLOGY
Evolutionary psychology and theories on the origins of human nature. Perspectives on human behavior, contemporary traits, as originating in the ancestral environment. Environments, encephalization, and the emergence of the modular brain. The controversies and issues of domain-specific modules of brain/mind and psychological mechanisms. Parenting, kinship, mating strategies, and issues of human group living and culture are explored. Prerequisites: Psy 1000.
