PSY 3330 PSYCHOLOGY OF CONSCIOUSNESS

The focus of the course will be on the scientific analysis of consciousness. The Course will examine philosophical considerations and examine aspects of consciousness and unconsciousness from a variety of psychological perspectives, including cognitive, neuropsychological, developmental and evolutionary. Topical areas include theories of the mind, brain bilaterality, experienced time, dreams and hypnosis, language, mediatation, biofeedback, neurofeedback, consideration of the mind/body problem, machine intelligence and animal intelligence.
