PA 3800 HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS IN THE U.S.

To familiarize students with the basic concepts and current issues with regard to how health care is provided in the United States. Through lectures and discussions, we will examine the financial state of health care in the U.S., the settings in which the health care is provided, and how well the health care delivery system performs. We will critique the ways in which health care in the U.S. failed 44 million people, mostly children, and discover ways in which the delivery system can be improved.
