IND 1300 DRAFTING AND CAD IN INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

A comprehensive introduction to the standards, methods and applications of drafting and CAD in the field of industrial design. Emphasis is on lettering, freehand sketching, problem solving, and the instrument and computer aided development of presentation and working drawings. Orthographic and axonometric projection, dimensioning, sections geometric construction, and descriptive geometry. Special consideration will be given to the place of these tools in the entire continuum of the creative problem solving process in industrial design.
