ID 2500 INTRO TO GLOBAL STUDIES
Type of Course: Required for global studies interdisciplinary major; satisfied social sciences GE interdisciplinary requirement. Prerequisites: One course in either Political Science, History, Sociology, Anthropology, Economics or Psychology Critical examination of global issues and events and the role of the global human population in shaping this comlex interconnected global society. Examination of a wide range of topics such as social citizenship, globalizing equality, human rights, cultural differences, global trends, war and peace, food distribution and populatin, causes of poverty, social empowerment of minorities, ecological degradation and sustainable development, among others.
