CJ 3700 PROOF AND VERIFICATION IN CRIMINAL JUST

The history and authority of proof and verifica- tion as they relate to suspects and defendants accused of crimes. Emphasis on relevance, admissibility, competency, standard of proof, presumptions and the exclusionary rule. This course provides the student with an understanding of the parameters in which police, proosecution, defense and the judiciary must operate. Prerequisites: Six(6) credits of Criminal Justice courses or instructor permission.
