CJ 2620 CYBER CRIMINOLOGY

This course will serve as an exploration of the role of criminology as applied to cybercrime. The emphasis of this course is to interpret and apply criminological theories to different types of cybercrimes. This course will examine different computer crimes through the analysis of different theoretical premises. Topics for this course will include deviance and criminal subculture in cyberspace, social learning perspectives, and cyber-routine activities as they relate to cybercrimes such as digital piracy, cyber victimization, and digital terrorism.
