CHEM 3383 PHYSICAL CHEM LAB/RECITATION I

COURSE NO: CHEM 3383 SEMESTER HOURS: TWO(2) PREREQ: CHEM 2283 or permission of instructor CO-REQ: CHEM 3381 ENROLLMENT LIMIT: 10 Required for Chemistry majors(General and ACS Certification options) Laboratory experience to illustrate theoretical concepts of physical chemistry with the emphasis on thermodynamics through experimental measurement. Laboratory excercises and reports will focus on obtaining the values of therodynamic variables, such as enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs free energy. In addition, statistical skills needed to assess data quality will be developed, and used to evaluate the need for repetition of experiments.
