PREREQ: ENG 2403 ENROLLMENT LIMIT: 25 COURSE TYPE: Elective A survey (from the medieval period to the present) of Indian Bhakti poetry, a type of ecstatic protest verse written by a loosely connected school of poets from both northern and southern India. Perspectives include literary, psychological, neurological, sociopolitical, historical, and religious implications.All selections will be read in translation.
